The PIC Difference
Take your passion for doing hair, makeup, and nails and turn it into an exciting new career at beauty school! For more than 25 years, Palomar Institute of Cosmetology has been educating beauty school students and molding them into top professionals in the beauty industry.
Our cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technology programs blend innovative curriculum and hands-on training with extensive preparation for the State Board exam. Our programs are designed to engage students and develop their skills, setting them apart from other professionals in the beauty industry.
Our beauty school instructors go above and beyond to make sure our students master the concepts and are ready for life after graduation. All of our instructors are working professionals and are constantly being retrained so they can teach the students the very latest trends and techniques in the beauty industry.
Cosmetology
The cosmetology program is designed to give you the skills you’ll need to start an exciting new career in the beauty industry. Our expert instructors will teach you the latest techniques in hair styling, cutting, coloring, makeup, and nail design, as well as salon management and everything you need to know to pass your State Board exam. If you want to take your education to the next level, you can apply to our exclusive Master Stylist Program, an advanced education and training program that no other beauty school in California offers.
Esthetics
The esthetics program will give you training in all aspects of the skin care industry. Inside our newly remodeled Esthetics Department, you’ll learn to treat skin conditions, provide a variety of facials, recreate the latest makeup techniques, perform hair removal, and more. You’ll practice these services on real clients on the clinic floor, using some of the best products and most modern equipment on the market, like our new Earthlite hydraulic spa beds. When you graduate, you’ll be fully ready to sit for your State Board exam and start a new career as a licensed esthetician.
Our Beauty School Uses Professional Brand Products
Palomar Institute of Cosmetology partners with some of the best professional products in the beauty industry, so our students are better prepared to work in a salon or spa after graduation. Students learn about retail and how to educate their clients about the products they're using, two important aspects of being a successful beauty professional.
Palomar Institute of Cosmetology is approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Vocational Education,
accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences,
and a member of the American Association of Cosmetology Schools and the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce.
