Palomar Institute of Cosmetology is committed to providing a safe educational environment free from hazing. Hazing is prohibited by institutional policy and may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the institution or termination of employment.

In accordance with federal and state law, Palomar Institute of Cosmetology annually publishes hazing statistics as part of its Campus Safety and Security Report (Annual Security Report or ASR). The institution also maintains a Campus Hazing Transparency Report as required by applicable law.

California law prohibits hazing under California Penal Code Section 245.6 and related provisions of the California Education Code. Individuals who engage in hazing may be subject to institutional discipline, civil liability, and criminal penalties.

Students and employees are encouraged to report suspected hazing immediately to school administration, the Title IX Coordinator, Campus Security Authorities, or local law enforcement.

Palomar Institute of Cosmetology does not currently recognize or sponsor student organizations. Nevertheless, the institution maintains anti-hazing policies, reporting procedures, prevention programs, and transparency reporting in compliance with applicable federal and state law.
